son of Moore Matlock is
believed
to have been
born abt 1758. If this
is true, He would of
only been 19 in 1777.
Most
Deeds etc. .Men
were usually 21. With
keeping that in
mind was Littleberry the
Witness of Moore and
Zechariah Moore's
brother
But its also
important to realize
that: "Children
aged 14 or more could
legally
witness a deed,
will, or contract but
this is also not
particularly common, in
my
experience. For a variety of practical
reasons the parties to
such acts generally
preferred adults as
witnesses, or at the
least someone who was
near majority."
