To all to whom these presents Shall come - Greeting - Know ye that we for and in

consideration of the Sum of fifty Shillings for every hundred acres hereby

Granted paid into our Treasury by Moore MATLOCK have Given and granted by these

do give and grant with the Said Moore MATLOCK a Tract of land Containing two

hundred acres lying and being in our County of - Washington on the waters of Boons

Creek Including Rocky Spring Beginning at a popler Corner of George Russells land

thence along his line East one hundred and Sixty Six poles to a Red Oak thence by

William Russells Claim North East twenty poles to a Red Oak East Eighty poles to

a Spanish Oak and North forty poles to a poast Oak then by William Beens Entry

North thirty two Degrees West one hundred and Eight poles to a poast then by John

Rider South Eighty five and one quarter Degrees west two hundred and Six poles to

a poast the lines by William Rufsell Bean & Rider as agreed boundarees then by

Jessee Hollan South one hundred and thirty poles to the Beginning as by the platt

hereunto annexed doth appear Together with all woods waters mines miner co

heridetements and appurtanances to the said Land belonging or in any wise [in any

wise crossed thru] and appertaining to hold the said Moore Matlock his heirs and

afsings forever Yielding and paying to us Such Sums of money Yearly or otherwise

as our General afsembly from time to time may Direct provided always that the said

Moore MATLOCK Shall cause this grant to be Registered in the Registers Office of

our Said County of Washington within twelve months from the Date hereof - Otherwise

the Same Shall be void and of - none Effect In testamony where of we have caused

these our letters to be made pattent and our Great Seal to be hereunto offened

Kingston the Sixteenth Day of August in the twelfth Year of our Independence and

in the Year Of Our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Seven
