OBITUARY: Earl Louis Matlock, Paper Unknown Jul 1901 and passed away in a Ft Dodge Iowa hospital on Friday Nov 19, 1948 at the age of 47 years, 4 months and 15 days. Death followed an emergency operation for appendicitis. He was married to Louise Shaver of Emerson, NE on 30 August 1926. The ceremony took place in Sioux City, Iowa. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Louise, three children, Howard, Sharon and Connie, all of Omaha; two brothers, Elmer of Fairfield, IA and James of Tulsa, OK; two sisters Mrs. S. A. Hensley (Bessie) of Ashland, NE and Mrs. Ch. H. Price of Wapato, WA and other relatives and friends. His parents and an infant daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian Church Monday afternoon, November 22, 1948. Rev. R. R. Pfeiffer, pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran church officiated. Mrs F. A. Mieras and Mrs. Geo R. Hahn sang "It is Well With My Scout" and "Face to Face:. Mrs. A. H. McGath was accompanist. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery
