Edgar's family descends from Zachariah Matlock. Zachariah was
born abt 1824 TN and is first found on the
1850 Crawford Co MO Census. Zachariah, while no actual proof is
said to be the son of Thomas Martin Matlock
who was the son of Zachariah who is thought to be the son of
Moore. It makes sense that Zachariah would be
the son of Thomas named after his grandfather Zachariah. The
paper trail listed below is solid. The problem
is the DNA of Edgar does not match the others that have tested
for Moore Matlock. This leaves the question
"Is Zachariah the son of Moore?" Moore did have a son Zachariah,
that is a fact. But is the Zachariah that
left Tennessee who left a will in Washington Co TN the son of
Moore? What is need for the answer is
other
descendants related to Zachariah to test.
